PlyWood With Steel Rape

This meticulously crafted Viking shield, inspired by those seen in Vikings: Valhalla, reflects the fierce spirit of Norse warriors. Made from 15mm thick birch plywood, this shield captures the essence of the battle-worn shields used by Vikings in close combat and as protective barriers on their legendary ships, like the famed Gokstad ship from the 10th century.

Hand-painted and varnished, each shield is a unique piece, featuring a hand-hammered steel umbo and braces. The back is fitted with a wooden handlebar for secure grip. With a diameter of 24 inches  and a weight of 8 pounds , this shield is suitable for medieval reenactments, LARP, or as a striking decorative wall hanger.

Due to the use of natural wood and the handmade crafting process, slight variations in size, texture, and appearance may occur, adding to the authenticity and uniqueness of each piece.
