The old way,
still the slow way

Norse smiths worked steel with fire, hammer and time. The Czech workshops that make these pieces still do. Every axe head is drawn out and shaped on the anvil, every shield boss raised by hand, every haft fitted and finished individually.

Nothing is stamped, cast or finished by machine. It takes longer. It is the reason these pieces look like they belong to the period they borrow from.

Alongside the Norse work we carry Damascus and high-carbon knives, skinners, folders, bowies and chef patterns. Same steel, same hands, made for people who intend to use them. All of it is handmade in the Czech Republic, then inspected and shipped free from our warehouse in Memphis, Tennessee, so US orders pay no import duty and wait for no customs clearance.

Cut a rune into it

Most pieces can be engraved before they ship, a name, a date, or a mark from the elder futhark. It is cut by hand into the finished steel, so it becomes part of the object rather than a sticker on it.
