BOWIE KNIVES
The Bowie is America’s blade — a big clip-point knife with a brass guard and enough steel to do anything a camp demands. Ours are hand-forged from Damascus, D2 and high-carbon steel, fitted with stag horn, camel bone, walnut and rosewood handles, and shipped sharp in a genuine leather sheath. From compact 9-inch Bowies to full-size 15-inch showpieces.

The signature is the clip point — the spine "clipped" toward the tip for a fine, controllable point — usually paired with a crossguard and a blade of 6 inches or more. It skins, chops, batons and looks the part on a wall. For a more compact field blade, see our hunting knives; for curved skinning blades, our skinners.
Steel Options
Choose layered 1095/15N20 Damascus for the pattern and easy resharpening, or D2 tool steel for maximum edge retention. Both are heat-treated to a working hardness and built on strong tang construction.
Bowie Knife FAQ
What is a Bowie knife best used for?
Camp work, hunting, chopping and display — the long clip-point blade is a genuine all-rounder, and its history makes it one of the most collected knife styles in America.
What blade length should I choose?
9–11 inches overall suits field carry; 12–15 inch Bowies are showpieces and camp choppers. Check each product's specification table.
Damascus or D2 for a Bowie?
Damascus offers the layered pattern and easy sharpening; D2 holds its edge longer between sharpenings. Both perform — it's pattern versus low maintenance.
Do Bowies ship with a sheath?
Yes, every Bowie includes a fitted genuine leather sheath.
Can I personalize one?
Yes — blade or handle engraving is available on most Bowies, a favorite for groomsmen and retirement gifts.
