A glaive is a single-edged blade mounted on the end of a shaft, closer to a sword on a pole than to an axe.Reach without weight forwardBecause the blade is long and relatively light rather than a heavy mass, a glaive can be moved and recovered far faster than an axe-headed polearm. It cuts on the sweep and thrusts with the point. The bardiche is its heavier cousin, with a long curved blade attached at two points down the shaft.Ours are hand-forged from high-carbon steel on hardwood shafts. Please check your local law before ordering.
