A black leather scabbard is the plain choice, and the one that stops a sword looking like a costume prop on a wall. Every piece on this tag arrives with one already fitted, cut to that blade, so there is no measuring and no hoping a generic sheath will close.
The blades that come with one
Most are arming swords. Stavemark is 35 inches overall with a 29 inch blade in high carbon steel. Hammerwake runs 37 inches with a brown leather grip, an arched steel cross and a wheel pommel. Bluewake is 38 inches with a blued fullered blade and a wheel pommel. Braidfuller is a 36 inch Viking arming sword with a lobed steel pommel. Slatewick puts an etched Valknut on a 30 inch blade under a square bar guard, with a black grip to match the scabbard. Silverhilt is the short one at 26 inches overall with an engraved knotwork hilt. Valkhilt is the heavy end, a Damascus bastard sword at 43 inches with a 33 inch blade. Ashenroot is the strange one, a blackened Yggdrasil sword with a Tree of Life pommel and a cord wrapped grip.
The straight cross hilted blades are in arming swords and the Norse shapes in Viking swords. If you need a sheath for a blade you already own, scabbards and sheaths has them sold separately.
