A knightly sword is a straight double edged blade with a simple cross guard and a pommel heavy enough to balance it near the hand. That is the whole design, and it did not change much for four hundred years because it did not need to. Everything here follows the Oakeshott shapes rather than a film prop.
Pommels and lengths
Wheelbright is the classic arming sword, thirty eight inches overall with a brass wheel pommel, a pale leather grip and a straight crossguard. Discthane is the same length with a steel wheel pommel and a brown leather scabbard. Knotcrown is the Damascus one at around thirty eight inches, with a triquetra disc pommel and a ring quillon. The two hand blades are longer. Palethorn is a polished longsword with a cream cord wrapped grip, an arched crossguard, a triquetra shield pommel and a pale grey scabbard. Grimfell is the largest at forty seven inches overall, with a ring terminal crossguard and a two hand leather grip, which needs both hands and a fair amount of room.
