An Elder Futhark sword carries the older runic alphabet cut or etched into the blade, the guard or the pommel. It is the phrase collectors use when they want the runes to be part of the sword rather than a line on the packaging. The pieces here run from a single carved band up to a full row down the length of the fuller.
How the runes are set on each one
Stavelight puts a complete Elder Futhark row on a 1095 high carbon blade, 35 inches overall, with a brown leather scabbard. Bonecrest does the same across a 30 inch blade and adds a bone white grip with a brass disc pommel. Runeglint moves the lettering onto Damascus and finishes with a wheel pommel and a timber scabbard. Runemarch cuts the staves into the guard itself, on a pattern welded blade with a lobed pommel and a black scabbard. Staveholm uses a runic arched guard with an olive leather grip, and Runemark and Stonerune carry the same idea onto a longsword and a broadsword. Stavemark and Runemarch the falchion round it out.
