Elder Futhark engraving means letters cut into the steel or the fittings, drawn from the twenty four rune alphabet used across Germanic Europe before the Viking age. Where the cutting is
On the long blades there is a Damascus arming sword at 37 inches with a dark leather scabbard and a brass throat, a Damascus Viking sword at 36 inches with a bone grip and a brass lobed pommel, a Damascus longsword at 45 inches with a faceted crown pommel and a knotwork cut crossguard, a Damascus arming sword at 36 inches with a knotwork cut ricasso and a steel wheel pommel, a Viking broadsword at 34 inches with an etched knotwork blade and a brazil nut pommel, and a Celtic sword at 30 inches with an engraved disc pommel. Shorter pieces cover a 1095 arming sword at 33 inches with a stacked leather grip and a knotwork engraved ricasso, a triquetra lobed short sword at 28 inches, a sawback sword at 25 inches with a knotwork guard, a 24 inch sawback short sword, and a Norse dagger at 20 inches with a knotwork engraved guard. Away from blades sit a bearded axe on a 19 inch hardwood haft with a knotwork engraved head in an engraved wooden case, an ox horn tankard with a rune engraved steel band, and a twisted arm ring.
