A fantasy sword is one designed for effect rather than for a period. Barbed guards, wave blades, skull pommels, spikes where no sane smith would put them. That does not make it junk: these are still forged from the same bar stock and heat treated the same way as the historical pieces, they are just shaped to look like something out of a film or a game rather than something out of a grave.
What is on the rack
The wave and flame blades are the strongest group, running 33 to 38 inches overall with brass ring guards, blackened hooked guards, disc pommels, a Celtic cross pommel, a knotwork cut guard with a steel tipped scabbard and one with a timber scabbard. The barbed and spiked pieces run larger: a 42 inch barbed sword with a spiked crossguard, a 38 inch one with hooked blade spurs and a faceted knotwork pommel, a 40 inch Damascus wave blade with blackened fittings, and a 30 inch sawback with a spiked guard. Then the character pieces: two skull swords, one with a blackened skull guard and a chevron etched blade at 32 inches, one with a blackened ram horn guard and a rune etched blade at 36 inches, an elven style blade with etched vine scrollwork and a fluted crown pommel, a brass hilted sword with a bell pommel and engraved knotwork bands, and a double ended Viking sword at 44 inches with knotwork pommels at both ends, twin cord wrapped grips and its own wooden display stand. Steel is plain 1095 high carbon at 54 to 58 HRC or forge welded 1095 and 15N20 Damascus at 58 to 60 HRC. Prices run from 329 dollars to 669 dollars.

Decide whether it is going on a wall or into a hand, because a spiked guard is a liability at a live event and a joy on a mount.
