Reenactment kit gets judged twice: once by a marshal checking it is safe, and once by everyone else deciding whether it looks right in a photograph. These pieces are built to pass both. Real steel, real hide, riveted rather than glued, and finished in the marks people at an event will actually recognise from across a field.
Body, shoulders and shield parts
Wyrmscale is the scale shirt, 18 gauge mild steel scales with russet leather binding and brass rivets, which moves far better than it looks like it should. Ashscale is the blackened version with black leather binding and a rune plaque. Nightvane covers the hide option, a black leather Viking cuirass with a Vegvisir engraved chest plate, steel studs and side lacing. Nightscale adds the shoulders, black leather scale pauldrons with riveted overlapping scales and a Valknut panel. Rimbind is the part most people forget until the day before: a steel shield boss and fitting kit with Valknut engraving and a full leather strap set, so a plank board becomes a shield.
The full range is in Viking armor, with the shield parts in shield bosses. For buying it as a present, read gifts for reenactors.
