Ransack Viking is a US company based in Memphis, Tennessee. Pieces are handmade in the Czech Republic, then imported, inspected and shipped from Memphis. Engraving is done in the US after arrival. Hand made here means forged, ground and fitted by a person rather than assembled from parts, and it shows in the bolster joints.
Choppers, points and one kitchen blade
The kukris dominate. Vegwarden is Damascus with an etched Vegvisir, black scales, a brass bolster and a ringed butt cap. Coalspine uses black micarta over a full tang deep belly blade with a knotwork engraved spine. Brasscrow and Cordraven are the high carbon pair, one with walnut scales and brass pins, the other cord wrapped with a raven engraved bolster. Runehollow carries Elder Futhark engraving with rosewood scales. Two bowies follow: Ebonknot in Damascus with etched Celtic knotwork and black scales, and Emberstack with a stacked leather washer handle. Knotguard is the tanto, and Boardkeen is the kitchen one, a flat nakiri style cleaver with a cord wrapped handle and a leather sleeve.
The layered blades sit in Damascus knives. For where the work happens, read our country of origin page and about us.
