A leather sword scabbard is the sheath the blade lives in, and for most buyers it decides whether the sword can be carried on a belt or only laid on a rack. This tag holds both the scabbards sold on their own and the swords that already arrive with one, which saves guessing whether a fit will work.
Standalone hide and matched sets
Two are sold by themselves. Grimhold is oak tanned hide with a Valknut stamp, a steel throat and chape, and it fits blades up to 30 inches. Staveguard is rune tooled over a wooden core, wool lined, with a steel chape and a matching belt, and it takes blades to 31 inches. The rest arrive fitted. Thornhelm and Oathgird both come with scabbard and belt on 30 inch blades in high carbon steel. Stormlace pairs a 35 inch Damascus longsword blade with a cross laced scabbard and a quatrefoil cross guard. Knotbriar is an Oakeshott type XII arming sword, and Brasswake, Rosehilt and Valkcrest carry the Damascus end of it from 31 up to 35 inch blades.
Sheaths and belt fittings on their own are grouped in scabbards and sheaths, and the matched swords in arming swords. If the sword is going on a wall instead of a belt, how to display swords and axes covers mounting without crushing the leather.
