The Vegvisir is the eight armed stave from an Icelandic manuscript, written down centuries after the Viking age and described as a sign to keep the bearer from losing their way in bad weather. It is not Viking, strictly. It is also the most requested mark in the catalogue, so here it is, cut into whatever will hold it.
Where the stave is cut
On armour it goes on the face. Nightvane is a black leather cuirass with a Vegvisir engraved chest plate, steel studs and side lacing. Pathmark is a steel shield boss with the stave engraved across the dome and an eight hole rivet flange for building your own board. Vegcrown is a 16 gauge spangenhelm with a riveted brow band and a leather liner. On edges it goes on the blade or the cheek. Runecast is a set of three 1095 throwing knives with etched blades and skeletonised handles. Wayfarrow is a long handled bearded axe on a 35 inch haft with an etched stave and a leather grip wrap, and Stavebeard carries rune and stave etching on a 19 inch walnut haft. Wayrune moves it onto a blacksmith hammer with a carved rosewood handle, and Waymark takes it off steel entirely as a 16 by 22 inch canvas banner on a turned ash cross bar.
Shield parts are in shield bosses, and the hanging pieces in Viking home decor. For where the stave came from, read the Vegvisir.
