Norse war gear is the practical end of a kit: the pieces a fighter would have owned rather than the ones a jarl would have shown off. Spearheads outnumber everything else, which matches the archaeology, since a spear was cheap and a sword was not. This tag gathers the heads, hafts and blades that go together.
Points, edges and blunt heads
Wyrmtooth is a Damascus spearhead with winged lugs and a runed brass socket. Silverleaf is the 1095 version with knotwork engraving and a runed socket. Ashpoint is the set, six socketed high carbon heads from 5 to 9 inches with rune marked collars, supplied in a canvas roll, which is the closest thing here to a real kit bag. Dawnleaf is the mounted spear, 68 inches overall with a 12 inch leaf blade on an ash shaft with a riveted socket, a brass collar and a leather blade cover. Runehewn covers the edges, a Damascus bearded axe on a 16 inch walnut haft with a brass rune collar. On the blunt side, Crowfell carries a crow beak pick on a 26 inch haft with brass langets, and Stormbeak is 20 inches overall with a Mjolnir engraved head and steel langets on ash. Bonecrest is the sword, 36 inches with a full Elder Futhark blade.
