Engraved Corporate Gifts: Viking Axes, Knives and Horns for Staff and Clients

Row of hand forged hatchets in wooden gift crates with a horn tankard on a conference table

Corporate gifts have a reputation, and it is earned. The branded stress ball, the pen that dies in a week, the fleece vest that makes the whole sales team look like a hiking club. Nobody keeps them and nobody remembers who sent them. An engraved axe, knife or drinking horn is the opposite case. It gets used, it gets displayed, and the company mark on it is still there in ten years. This guide covers engraved corporate gift ideas for staff and clients, with real prices, what each piece suits, and how a batch order works.

Every piece here is handmade in the Czech Republic. The engraving, including company logos, is done in the United States after the pieces arrive, and orders ship from Chicago, Illinois.

Engraved corporate gift ideas, by occasion

Holiday gifts for the whole team

For a team spread across offices, warehouses and job sites, pick something that is useful to everyone and awkward for no one. The Hearthcutter pizza axe is the surprise hit here. It is a stainless steel axe shaped rocker for cutting pizza, it lives in a kitchen rather than a pocket, and with 62 sold and 10 reviews it is one of the best sellers on the site at $149. As a ready set of six, the Ravenfeast pizza axe comes to $715.20, which is $119.20 a piece. For a team that prefers the outdoors, the Rosethane bearded axe set of six is $763.20.

Desk and table gifts for the office

Some offices do not want a blade on every desk, and that is a sensible policy rather than a lack of imagination. A tankard or a drinking horn carries the same Norse craft with no edge at all. The Aleholm stainless tankard with etched runes is $119.20 and has 10 reviews. The Runemead drinking horn with a full Elder Futhark row is $135.20. Both take a logo on the steel band or the horn body.

Client gifts

For a client, put their name on the piece and your logo on the box or the reverse side. A gift that only advertises the sender is a brochure with extra steps. The Leafcarry Damascus folding knife at $109 is our best selling folder and suits most clients. For a client in food or hospitality, a Damascus chef knife such as the Hornsmith at $229 says thank you in a language they use every day.

Years of service and retirement

Service awards are where engraving earns its fee. A name, the years served and the company mark on a single piece is one of the steadiest corporate orders. Match the piece to the milestone. A tomahawk such as the Emberhawk at $127.20 suits five or ten years. For a retirement after a long career, a Viking sword such as the Serpentweld at $439.20 is a present people talk about at the party, and it hangs on a wall for the next twenty years without anyone needing to ask what it is for.

Clubs, events and dealer meetings

Motorcycle clubs, hunting clubs, re-enactment groups and companies running a dealer meeting order the larger batches. A chapter name or an event year on a run of folding knives or tankards does the job, and nobody has ever thrown away a knife they won as a prize.

What engraving costs and what engraves well

Single piece rates are $19 for a name, date or line of text, $19 for a name in Elder Futhark runes, $39 for a Norse symbol and $49 for a family crest. A company logo across a batch is quoted separately.

A logo engraves well when it is a clear, high contrast, single colour mark. Solid shapes and firm outlines come out clean. Gradients, drop shadows and hairline strokes do not, and the small type that sits under most logos is usually dropped so the mark stays readable on a blade. If your logo was designed for a website banner, expect a simplified version for steel. That is not us being difficult. That is physics with a laser.

A good setup for a team order is the company mark on one side and each person’s first name on the other. It turns one batch into twenty individual gifts.

How a batch order works

Send the brief on the logo engraved knives page: the piece, the count, the artwork and the date you need it. You get pricing and a lead time for that actual order, not a generic table. Processing on standard orders takes one to two weeks and US delivery three to seven business days after that, so for a holiday handover start the conversation in early November. Shops and dealers buying for resale should use the wholesale page instead.

Three things to check before you give blades at work

Policy. Some workplaces do not allow knives on site. Ask HR first and keep a tankard or a horn as the option for anyone who would rather not take a blade.

Location. Knife rules differ by state and city. A folding knife with a modest blade is the safest pick for a team spread around the country, and the knife laws by state page covers the details.

Handover. Tell the person what it is and why they are getting it. A piece handed over with one sentence about a good year means more than one left on a desk with a sticky note.

Questions people ask

What are good engraved corporate gifts for employees?

Pieces people keep and use: a Damascus folding knife, a pizza axe, a tankard or a drinking horn, each with the company mark and the person’s name. Offer a tankard or horn to anyone who would rather not have a blade.

Can you engrave our company logo?

Yes. A clear, high contrast, single colour logo engraves well on blades, axe heads, bolsters and horn bodies. A logo across a batch is quoted against your order through the logo engraved knives page.

How much does a corporate Viking gift cost per person?

Folding knives start at $89, pizza axes and tankards sit around $119 to $149, and swords for retirements start around $280. Ready sets of six bring the price per piece down, for example $119.20 each for the Ravenfeast pizza axe set.

Where are the pieces made?

Every piece is handmade in the Czech Republic. Engraving, including logos, is done in the United States, and orders ship from Chicago, Illinois.

How long does a corporate order take?

Standard processing is one to two weeks, then three to seven business days for US delivery. Batch orders get a lead time on the quote. For holiday gifts, start in early November.

Is an axe a strange gift for an office?

Less strange than a fleece vest, and far more likely to be kept. A pizza axe in particular lives in the kitchen and gets used every Friday. For formal settings, a tankard or drinking horn is the safe choice.

About James

James writes the guides on Ransack Viking. He covers Viking axes and swords, what a Damascus billet of 1095 and 15N20 actually is, Norse history and the symbols people ask about, and how to keep an edge and keep the rust off. He spends more time arguing about axe head geometry than is strictly healthy, and he will tell you when a piece is for the wall rather than the woods.
