Forged steel heads on solid wooden hafts. Our Viking hammers channel the look of Mjölnir without the mythology-grade weight, with Slavic and Norse profiles finished by hand and mounted on ash or rosewood. Each ships from our Memphis, TN warehouse and most can be engraved with names, dates or runes, a display piece for the wall, the shelf or the collector who has everything else.
Every piece in this collection is made by hand in the Czech Republic and shipped from our warehouse in Memphis, Tennessee. Engraving is done here in the United States before your order goes out.

Viking Hammers
Hammers of the North
The hammer carried real weight in Norse belief, Thor's Mjölnir stood for protection, blessing and raw force in one symbol. Our war hammers bring that presence to a display wall or a reenactment kit, alongside a battle axe or a drinking mug for the full hall setup.
How They Are Built
Each head is forged from steel and finished by hand, then mounted on an ash or rosewood haft and secured with a wedge. Profiles range from the squared Slavic war-hammer shape to rounded Norse patterns, some with engraved knotwork or runes along the head.
Viking Hammer FAQ
Are these functional hammers?
They are display and costume pieces with genuinely forged heads, substantial in the hand, but not intended as striking tools or for contact reenactment.
What is Mjölnir and is that what this is?
Mjölnir is Thor's hammer in Norse myth, described in the Eddas as short-hafted and unbreakable. Our pieces are inspired by it and by surviving hammer amulets rather than being replicas of any single artefact.
How heavy are they?
Most sit between two and four pounds depending on head size and haft length. The exact weight is listed on each product page.
Can the haft be engraved?
Yes, names, dates and Elder Futhark runes can be cut into the wooden haft. Select the engraving option on the product page.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are inspected and dispatched from Memphis, TN within 1 to 2 weeks, with US delivery typically taking a further 3 to 7 business days.
